Can I distress and seal new cherry table myself?

Post by evan928 »

I ordered an Amish made cherry farm table, but the stain samples look too new and shiny. I would like it to look worn with hints of black. If I just have them stain it, could I distress it and seal it myself.........and how? I have no experience doing anything like this.
Thanks for any advice!
