I am making an end table from well aged cherry. The top of the table is displaying color blotching before any finish is applied. See Pic attached.
I tried danish oil but the blotching was so bad I sanded down to start over.
I am unable to affect this by sanding it seems. Is there a cure?
Note I have applied mineral spirits to accentuate the grain.
