I have a lot of oil finished Chinese furniture made with a heavy dark wood called Suan ZhI. It has been darkened with some kind of stain or process. Cats have sprayed on it in a number of places and this has left light colored spots where ever the urine has touched. I would like to remove the stain and return the wood to it's natural color. I can't sand away the color because the wood is heavily carved.
Nothing I have tried has been able to remove the color like the cat urine does. I've tried stripper, chlorine bleach, peroxide, urea based fertilizer, and nothing seems to touch the color. Any ideas?
